Who Is The Workshop For? It’s open to anyone, from novice to accomplished writer, and anywhere in between, working in all genres. The workshop, conducted using the principles of the Amherst Writers & Artists (AWA), provides a unique setting for you, the writer, to grow creatively while practicing and developing your writing craft. The environment is safe, confidential, non-hierarchical, and creative, where you’re encouraged to take risks in your writing as you experiment with finding your unique written voice. The workshop emphasis is on encouraging you with what is good about your writing, not clubbing you with what’s wrong with it.
