Who Is The Workshop For?
It’s open to anyone, from novice to accomplished writer, and anywhere in between, working in all genres. The workshop, conducted using the principles of the Amherst Writers & Artists (AWA), provides a unique setting for you, the writer, to grow creatively while practicing and developing your writing craft. The environment is safe, confidential, non-hierarchical, and creative, where you’re encouraged to take risks in your writing as you experiment with finding your unique written voice. The workshop emphasis is on encouraging you with what is good about your writing, not clubbing you with what’s wrong with it.

Where Will It Be Held?
Starting this year (2010) the Silver Fern Writing Workshop will be held at 263 Orange Terrace Drive, Winter Park, Florida 32789.

Is It Really Free?
Yes, the workshop is free and open to all. There will be a donation box on hand for those who would like to donate towards the cost of running the workshop, but you are under no obligation to donate to participate in the workshop.

Who Will Be Leading The Workshop?
The workshop is led by Janna & Geoff Benge, accomplished writers who have written more than 140 books. With over twenty-four years of experience in the publishing industry, Janna & Geoff have a passion to help others find their voice in writing, as well as master the craft aspects of the writing process. Janna and Geoff are sought after writing teachers and Janna is a certified instructor in the Amherst Writers & Artists (AWA) method.
